Essensuals hairdressing is the next generation of award winning salons from the TONI&GUY empire. Founded in 1997 by Chief Executive Toni Mascolo, essensuals is directed by Mascolo duo Sacha and Christian. Created to compete with TONI&GUY’s competition and to offer creative and salon-ownership opportunities for young team-members within the Company, its success has been astounding. Essensuals is now growing at a phenomenal rate and currently has over 60 salons both in the UK and internationally.

As the daughter of co-founder Toni Mascolo, Sacha was literally born into hairdressing. By an early age she had already proved to have the creative vision and talent to surpass her peers and take the direction needed to make TONI&GUY a ‘SuperBrand’.

Now Global Creative Director of the Company, with an array of accolades to her name: Sacha was the youngest ever winner (aged just 19) of Newcomer of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards, she then went on to win the title of London Hairdresser of the Year in 1999. More recently she holds the prestigious title of Fellowship Hairdresser of the Year 2010/11.

As the eldest son of business guru and founder of Toni&Guy - Toni Mascolo - Christian has his roots firmly in the world of hairdressing. At the tender age of 16 Christian trained as a stylist later working in London’s TONI&GUY Covent Garden and Sloane Square salons before becoming an accomplished member of the TONI&GUY art team.

Known as the TONI&GUY thoroughbred Gary has invested 25 years into putting back into the hairdressing industry. His rich ancestory within TONI&GUY means he is literally regarded as ‘one of the family’. Working closely alongside Sacha and James, Toni and Christian Mascolo to ensure all creative and business decisions are the right ones. Gary’s job role combines creative direction for TONI&GUY, Essensuals and the hugely successful professional hair care range Label M.

Francesco’s selection as a finalist for the 3rd year running in the fiercely competitive British Hairdressing Awards ‘Colour Technician’ Category is testament that there is more to this man than Italian charm, enthusiasm and talent … Francesco literally works magic with his hair colour skills.

Wayne began his career in hairdressing back in 1989 training in Barbering before joining essensuals in 2000. As a valued member of the essensuals Art team Wayne is heavily involved in the Education for young hairdressers and co-ordinates the vardering in the Toni&Guy London Academy still finding time to work on photographic shoots and co-ordinate teams for any shows requesting Essensuals hair skills.
